”’We just have to have a little more communication,” Harrison said. ”If I look at Ty Law, I might give him a sign or a wink or a nod of the head. He knows exactly what I’m doing, whereas you have to go out there and play alongside maybe an unproven guy or a guy that’s inexperienced, it’s a little different.”’

”’He’s added a big spark for us,” guard Chris Villarrial said. ”It’s great to see him step in there the way he has. He’s just taken over. We’re really excited about him being back there.”’

‘Coach Mike Mularkey said Williams is considered day-to-day, but added team doctors have not cleared the player for practice. Williams is listed as questionable. Mularkey described Williams as being sore, and that he’s been working out in the pool in an attempt to loosen up.’

‘Q: Is your team mentally strong enough to come into New England and deal with different types of adversity?

MM: We are going to find out.’

‘Q: What was the locker room like when Drew Bledsoe was taking so many shots from the public?

WM: There was total support for him. I really don’t get into the newspapers and get into all of that hype. They don’t know what it takes to go out there and do his job. I don’t think anyone of them can come up there and try to throw the ball, make the correct reads and call the right plays in certain situations.’

‘Q: What is McGahee doing that maybe [Travis] Henry wasn’t doing?

BB: They are both really good backs. I don’t think there is anything wrong with Henry. He is one of the best running backs in the league. McGahee has come in there and run hard. He has good speed. I think they both have similar styles. They break a lot of tackles. They can both get outside. They can both run with power inside. They are both good backs. They both catch the ball as outlet receivers. They have [Lee] Evans, [Josh] Reed and [Eric] Moulds to kind of go deep and run the vertical patterns. Then, if you drop off and cover those, they can drop the ball off underneath. Drew [Bledsoe] has done a good job of that. They have been able to be productive in the passing game as well.’

‘The only team that has been better than the Bills over the past month is the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4-0.’

If you’ve been waiting for the Bills to put together a complete game, solid in all phases, you had to be happy with the performance they put in against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The Bills have gained momentum and are on the upswing with three wins in their last four games. All those wins have happened at home, they will see how far they’ve come with a tough road prime time matchup in New England.

‘Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure feels that the Bills’ success at moving the chains can be summed up with five words. "Good technique and great knowledge," he said. "In today’s football, I find great technology and no technique. They have all the computers and all this and they have 1,000 formations and they run 100 plays. But they don’t perfect any of them. We ran five or six plays, maximum, and ran them to perfection. It didn’t matter who they put in there, they knew it was coming and we blocked them."’
