‘"Bobby preaches that special teams sets up the offense and sets up the defense," Angelo Crowell said. "They’re starters. They’re athletes. They know how it changes the game."’

Bills need to dethrone Alexander
‘The Bills are catching Alexander the Great on a serious chariot ride. He’s gained 627 yards in the past four games, including a three-week stretch against the Panthers, 49ers and Rams when he gained 195, 160 and 176 yards. Only seven previous running backs in NFL history had consecutive 150-yard games, including Jim Brown (1958), O.J. Simpson (1976) and Earl Campbell (1980). With 96 yards against Miami Sunday, Alexander gave Campbell’s record of four 150-yard games in a row a good shot.’
A moment with … Lawyer Milloy, Bills safety
‘What are the secrets to the Bills’ success on defense this season?
“We had the same success last year and we’re just building off of that. Even though we had a coaching change, we didn’t change our defensive staff. (Defensive coordinator Jerry) Gray is very good at putting his playmakers in the right position to make plays. Like I said, we are doing nothing short of what we did last year.”‘

Bills come together to help one of their own
‘Last month, one of the team’s chefs, Bob Mueller, died suddenly of a heart infection. He was just 43 years old. He left behind his wife Sheryl and their three young daughters.’
Buffalo (4-6) at Seattle (6-4)
‘Seahawks 17, Bills 10.’
Seahawks ST Unit will be a Challenge
‘Rookie Jason Peters made two big plays on kickoff coverage in the Rams game, first making a tackle for a very minimal gain and then recovering a fumble in the third quarter. On the fumble recovery he actually came out of the pile with the ball while the referees were still looking to see which team had the ball. We view him as a big and powerful guy that is only going to get better. Even in the infancy as a player, he’s doing pretty well.’
Portland Backers to Attend Bills-Seahawks
‘"It started over my license plate," Miller said. "Then we had six people, and we went anywhere we could go to watch the games … then it just kind of grew from there."’
Tops Game Ball Winner: Mark Campbell
‘I definitely agree we need to get the ball rolling on road games. It comes down to starting fast. We need to start faster on the road and make plays. You can’t look around to see who is going to make a play, but instead you must look at yourself to make the play. Playing on the road is tough. Aside from not being able to hear and communicate, it’s a you against the world mentality. We have to go in and change what’s happening on the road. There is no curse. It’s not like the Boston Red Sox curse, we just need to go out and play. We have won on the road before and we’re too good of a team to not do it on a consistent basis.
