‘We’re looking at the last couple week of production, and if that’s what it takes it’s not the only position that may happen. Right now it’s the one that is and hopefully it’s the spark in the run game that gets us going.”‘

Mularkey Names McGahee Cardinals Starter
‘"Based on Willis’ performance the last couple of weeks with the run game I felt like he has given us a spark moving the ball when there have been holes and when there hasn’t been holes," Mularkey told Buffalobills.com Wednesday morning. "We’re going to see if that can be a difference in this game."’
Arizona (2-4) at Buffalo (1-5)
‘The Bills have been undone by a sputtering offense that has yet to score 21 points in a game, and doesn’t have a rushing touchdown. “It’s a culmination of a lot of things,” Bills coach Mike Mularkey said. “We’ve got to get better. We know the enemy, and we’ll try to address it.”’
Bills LT Jennings ready to return
”’I think I’m ready to go,” Jennings said. ”I’ve been out for so long, I’m kind of anxious to get out practicing and be with my first group.”’
RB McGahee earns Bills starting job
‘“We’re just trying to get a spark. It’s not the only position that that may happen to. But right now that’s the one that it is. And hopefully that’s the spark in the run game that gets us rolling.”’
Two Starting Running Backs
‘WGR 550 will have more on the story when Mularky addresses the media Wednesday afternoon.’
Don’t write off the Cardinals any longer
‘The Cardinals have as many wins (18) as the Bills since the 2001 season.’
Pasch Scouts the Bills
‘Mularkey has a good offensive mind, and will eventually turn the Buffalo offense around. J.P. Losman is the quarterback of the future, but the first-round draft pick is coming off a broken leg suffered in practice earlier in the season. The defense is playing well, and the Bills could still be a good football team in the near future. Whether near future means this year or next remains to be seen.’
Jumping the gun? McGahee says he’s the starter
‘It would be interesting to see how Henry handles a demotion. He wasn’t happy when the Bills drafted McGahee in the first round of the 2003 draft. He eventually accepted the situation, realizing that McGahee did not pose an immediate threat because he was recovering from reconstructive knee surgery. But the idea of losing playing time won’t sit well with Henry, who spent most of the second half on the bench last Sunday.’
Past glory haunts Vinny and Bledsoe
‘Watching Pennington and Brady, there was a sharpness in their craft, an alertness, if you will. Come to think of it, I think what’s made Bledsoe and Testaverde look so old lately is the absence of that alertness. They’ve lost both the youthful ability to think in the pocket and the hunger in their eyes. And sadly enough, the loss of these factors has nothing to do with age.’

Flashback: Bills Blow Out Cardinals
‘”There has been some rough games,” Mohr laughed. “We played Detroit [Dec. 12, ’91], I think it was the last game of the year. The wind was blowing hard that day and I dropped it and the ball almost blew off my foot. I punted it and it went straight to the sideline towards our bench and almost hit (special teams) coach Bruce DeHaven. I looked over there and he’s just laughing. There was nothing you can really do when that happens because you can’t predict when that gust is going to hit you. You’ve got to be careful when those winds start gusting around.”‘
The Future Is Now
Bills vs. Cardinals Preview
The Bills and Cardinals are two struggling teams but the Cardinals got a big win last week against Seattle. The Bills continue to struggle offensively and will look to Willis McGahee to jump start the offense.
Bills’ McGahee says he’s starting against Arizona
‘The Bills were unavailable for comment. Coach Mike Mularkey is expected to update any lineup changes during his weekly news conference on Wednesday.’
