Henry Hurt In Bills Loss To Tennessee
‘Henry said after the game that his ribs aren’t as sore as last season when he tore rib cartilage in the third week of last season. Henry was laid out to dry by Drew Bledsoe. The play started when RT Mike Williams totally whiffed on his man Juqua Thomas. Bledsoe had to duck and was running to his right. He spotted Henry about eight yards down field and threw the ball a little behind him. That allowed Bullock to arrive and the same time as the ball. Henry took about five minutes to get up and was taken by cart to the lockerroom. Henry finished with 27 yards on seven carries. He had a fumble, but Bledsoe took half the blame for putting the ball on Henry’s hip. Willis McGahee replaced Henry and scored on his second series from three yards out. McGahee was unimpressive with 28 yards on 11 attempts. He also dropped a pass. Buffalo’s leading rusher was J.P. Losman as the quarterback pranced for 43 yards on four carries.’
Bills Lose… Henry Hurt
‘The most negative aspect of the game for the bills besides the Henry injury was penalties. The game was littered with personal fouls. Buffalo was officially called for 12 penalties and 127 yards Tennessee added 11 calls good for 73 yards to the total.’
Travis Henry Bruises Ribs vs. Titans
‘”It’s not good but it couldn’t happen at a better time considering it’s still the preseason and we’ve got two more games before that first regular season game,” he said. “If something bad could happen, it happened at the right time.”‘
Defense Impressive, Still Not Satisfied
‘”We didn’t come to play tonight as a whole,” Spikes said. “We didn’t play the way we needed to play in order to achieve our goal of being the number one defense.”‘
Special Teams Play Important Role
‘”You’ll see, as we go, more starters,” said Mularkey. “We’re going to put the best guys out there, period. There is no thing that says a starter is relieved from duty because he’s playing first, second, and third down. Fourth down is no different. What’s nice is a couple of guys are volunteering. Two weeks and a row London (Fletcher) has been unbelievable on kickoff return.’

‘On whether the Bills have a running back controversy:
No we don’t. We think maybe the media does, but we don’t have one.’
