Giddens played high school football at Glencliff before enrolling at TSU. He led the Tigers in interceptions each of the past two seasons and finished his career with 11 pickoffs. He led the Tigers in tackles with 82 his junior season. He was a second-team All-OVC selection in 2003 after earning first team All-OVC the previous season.
