It’s just a little overwhelming because I’m still the kid who went and tried out for Pop Warner football and wanted to play quarterback and then played defensive tackle. The kid who didn’t make all-city in high school. The same guy who didn’t get to start until his senior year in college. So where you’re constantly trying to prove yourself – and maybe that’s what drove me so much as a player when I got into the league. To be elected one of the best that ever played the game is just far beyond anything that I ever imagined when I first started playing football."
