Bills draft profile: DT Ron Edwards
‘Here is the draft profile of recently signed defensive tackle, Ron Edwards.’
Camp won’t be a vacation anymore
‘Former Bills coaches Marv Levy and Wade Phillips weren’t big fans of heavy offseason contact. In fact, they did so little hitting their training camps often were referred to as Club Med. Those days are over. New coach Gregg Williams is bringing a more physical attitude to his first training camp this summer. In other words, expect to see plenty of hitting with full pads.’
Corey Moore shot in leg
‘But Moore was arrested a few weeks ago in Haywood County and charged with aggravated assault. Moore allegedly was involved when a man, Jeremiah Taylor, was hit with a beer bottle on May 15, Blackburn said. He was released on bond.’
Jim Kelly: Foiled again
‘Jim Kelly is on the top (at least on CNN/SI NFL front page) of ‘losers’ in sports. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Sometimes it works (look under Lucci, Susan). Sometimes it doesn’t (under Coyote, Wile E.) In sports, there can be only one winner, which means no matter how great you are, there’s a distinct possibility of losing. No matter how badly you want that elusive trophy or title, there’s never a guarantee it will come to you. CNNSI.com looks at some of the “losers” in sports, legends who couldn’t quite clear that one last hurdle.’

Bills’ Guy displays sharp eye for sackers
‘"John is a high-character individual, and we feel very fortunate to be able to bring John in at this time," Donahoe said. "He’ll work very closely with me with regard to the players that are in the league. He’ll work closely with our team and coach (Gregg) Williams and also do some advance scouting."’
Retread coaches wearing thin in NFL
"Empowerment is powerful," said Buffalo’s Williams. "You have to be able to deal with the players with a hands-on approach. That’s always been my way. I have to be tough enough, but you also don’t want them scared when they see you in the halls."
Williams had a great rapport with the players in Tennessee when he was the Titans’ defensive coordinator. They hated his constant yelling, but they came to respect him. He should make a good head coach.
