The salient news in this column is that Donahoe plans on sticking to his earlier statement that he will not offer more than $1 million/year for a 1st year head coach. According to this article, Williams will be offered a 3 year, $3 million contract. Williams did not complain when Donahoe laid out the parameters by which a new coach would be selected.
